At Sams Flooring, we are dedicated to ensuring that your order is handled with care and efficiency. Our shipping department takes immense pride in packing and dispatching orders correctly. As a flooring retailer serving customers across the country, we understand the importance of proper packaging and partnering with dependable freight companies.

Shipping Details

  • Shipping Information: Your Sams Flooring sales representative will provide you with all the shipping details, including cost, approximate delivery time, and contact information for your local shipping terminal.

  • Delivery Responsibility: Please note that freight drivers do not unload deliveries. If you choose a home or business delivery, it is essential to have assistance available to unload the material from the delivery truck. Most flooring materials are heavy and are designed to be moved by a forklift or by a professional installer.

  • Curbside Delivery: Home deliveries are made to the end of your driveway. It is your responsibility to unload the freight and move it to your storage area.

  • Terminal Pickup: Many customers opt to have their installer pick up the material from the nearest local terminal. This option can save you the home delivery charge and the hassle of unloading yourself. You must receive delivery or pick up your material within two business days of the material reaching your local terminal. If not, you will be responsible for any storage fees assessed by the freight company.

Inspection Upon Delivery

It is crucial to inspect your order upon delivery. When you or your installer pick up your order from the shipping terminal, or if you receive a home delivery, please:

  • Count the Items: Ensure the number of items (packages and rolls) matches the bill of lading.

  • Inspect for Damage: Visually inspect the packages and rolls for any damage.

  • Document Any Issues: If damage is observed, write a detailed description on the proof of delivery (e.g., damage found at the end of the roll or corners of boxes crushed) and take photographs.

  • Report Missing or Damaged Items: If any material is missing or damaged, note it on the proof of delivery and contact Sams Flooring immediately.

  • Concealed Damage: If damage is not discovered until the goods are opened at home, immediately call the freight company and Sams Flooring to report the concealed damage. Concealed damage must be reported within five days of receipt of the material; otherwise, a claim cannot be filed.

Scheduling Installation

We recommend that you do not schedule installation until your flooring has been received and inspected. All shipping dates and delivery times are approximate, and unforeseen delays can occur.
